We found a Starbucks. There was much rejoicing.
Not that we really like Starbucks. But we really REALLY need our coffee *twitch*
After arriving in our hotel in Kuta, we were awed by how lovely the hotel is. But this is coming from us, who spent a week in a box with a gurney as a bathroom. Chantal loved the view from our private balcony, Chris loved the pool that had windows on the side. Seriously you can see through the pool from the sides. Oh and there’s cats around the block. Can’t go wrong with cats around.
We ate at a Mexican restaurant not too far from our place. Chantal’s niece, Olivia, was the only one that actually had Mexican. It was great food and drinks and a fun day was had (happy hour goes for 6 hours, what could go wrong?).
There’s not much to say about our first day, as we mostly spent the time getting our bearings. But we’re looking forward to the next few days here!
